A couple, who met in school and married after university, faced several challenges in starting a family. After the loss of their first child and difficulty conceiving, Varvara used hormonal treatments and successfully gave birth to five premature girls in 2007. The couple traveled to Britain for the birth, as doctors in their home country refused to perform the risky procedure.
Thanks to an entrepreneur’s financial help, the family received support, including a four-room apartment and free diapers. Despite their early struggles, the girls grew up healthy and active. The father, a religious teacher, plays an active role in their upbringing, ensuring they attend Sunday school and pursue activities of their choice.
